Community Committees empower the community to guide its own school.
Carcross/Tagish First Nation signed a Community Committee Agreement with the First Nation School Board on October 11th, 2023.
The historic signing of this agreement by Chief and FNSB Trustee led to the creation of the Ghùch Tlâ Community School Community Committee.
Community Committee agreements are flexible to change, adapt, and grow in time. They outline which powers of the Education Act are shared between the Community Committee and the school board.
